December 20, 2022 – West Fargo, ND, High Point Networks, welcomes Duane Schell as the Chief Technology Officer. High Point Networks proudly welcomes Schell, who brings more than two decades of experience in the technology industry with him; specifically, he was Chief Technology Officer at the State of North Dakota for five years. Duane joins a team of 170 like-minded technology professionals, 90 of whom are accountable to the CTO role.
The last 20 years have been a whirlwind of growth and change in the Information Technology world in general, and more specifically in how technology providers like High Point Networks deliver solutions and services to meet the rapidly evolving demand. Duane brings the experience and leadership necessary to further align and develop our already talented teams, and provides a complementary vision to propel our mission through the next chapters as we continue to execute our strategy: to become the most trusted IT business partner in the country.
Duane will oversee the implementation of all strategies and decisions within the services organization. He will also play a pivotal role in further enhancing High Point’s vision that will significantly elevate the level of service they provide their customers.
While at the State of North Dakota, Duane was responsible for the vision and strategic direction for technology that enabled and empowered North Dakota’s state government, local government, and educational entities. Duane led many initiatives such as implementing Teams Voice statewide, driving digital government strategy, improving service management process maturity by over 150% by unifying over a dozen service desks, and leading the network strategy (STAGnet).
Many companies claim to be customer-centric and problem solvers, but very few deliver on that message. It is an incredible honor to have the opportunity to join a team that embodies such high standards and expectations, especially when it comes to tackling even the most difficult of issues. Together, I believe we can achieve remarkable results.
A North Dakota native, Duane enjoys many of the outdoor activities the state has to offer. He is also actively involved in his community youth football program and spends as much of his free time as possible with his two children. He holds a BS and MBA from the University of Mary and is also a certified public accountant.
